Guernsey Filmworks - Island Tales by Rêvasser Films

Reporter Shaun Shackleton of the Guernsey Press interviewed producers Lars Janssen & Charlotte Dawn Potter about the local production company Guernsey Filmworks (production division of Rêvasser Films). Find out about their upcoming feature film projects.

Making films locally also benefits tourism,’ said Lars. ‘Dorset, where Broadchurch is filmed, has reported an increase in visitors because of the TV series. In Guernsey, Culture & Heritage has given us a list of specific places that would be great locations to film at, all of which show Guernsey at its best.

We want to be able to give back to the island, especially through working with mental health and well-being charities,’ said Charlotte. ‘Also, as Endgame concerns LGBTQ issues, we’d work alongside Liberate. We’re trying to get as many organisations on-board as possible.

Our new division featured in The Guernsey Press by Rêvasser Films

We would like to share with you an in-depth feature about our new local production division Guernsey Filmworks in the local newspaper. The feature includes an exclusive first look of our upcoming short film ‘Lorelei’.

Our plan is to create feature films, under the label of Guernsey Filmworks, that are locally produced and present historical or contemporary stories in or from the Channel Islands.

We want to engage with locals during the filmmaking process and get them involved on several levels of the endeavour. So you could call it a real community effort. Once the film has been completed we can all watch the end result in the cinema or stream it at home available to a worldwide audience.

BLUE BLOOD featured on Joblo's Arrow in the Head by Rêvasser Films

During a successful film festival run that took the short through the United States, South America, and Europe, BLUE BLOOD won awards for best cinematography and best cast ensemble, and racked up several nominations in other categories.
